BIO
Meg Price is a transdisciplinary PhD researcher at the University of Technology Sydney researching how habitual conversational AI use is reshaping human relational capacity — the embodied, practised ability to build, sustain, and repair meaningful human connection. Her research asks, "Who do we become when we talk with AI?", and is grounded in the conviction that consequential design decisions about AI are being made faster than our understanding of what we may be trading away.
Meg's work uses a practice-led Living Lab methodology that combines body mapping, structured AI reflection, physiological monitoring, and facilitated group dialogue. The methodology is designed to surface the relational, somatic, and below-awareness dynamics that single-prompt evaluations and self-report measures cannot detect.
Prior to her PhD, Meg co-founded ventures at the intersection of technology and human wellbeing, including the Noa Coach platform and the Positive Penguins educational app, early experiments in how technology might support human connection and resilience, and the source of much of the curiosity that now drives her research. She also brings over 25 years of practice-based experience across industry, non-profits, and education in coaching, leadership development, and organisational change, experience that directly informs the participatory, embodied orientation of her current research.
Alongside her doctoral work, Meg is a casual academic in the UTS Transdisciplinary School, teaching Shaping Technologies that Shape Us and Technologies Reimagined in a Complex World, subjects that engage students with the same questions her research investigates: what kind of relationship are we building with the technologies we make, and what kind do we want?
