BIO
Tina Wang is a researcher at the UTS Data Science Institute and an experienced digital transformation and data professional with more than 20 years of experience across government, healthcare and financial services sectors.
Prior to commencing her doctoral studies, Tina led and delivered a wide range of digital transformation, analytics, service design and data governance initiatives within Australian government organisations and large enterprises. Her work has focused on translating emerging technologies into practical solutions that improve decision-making, service delivery and organisational outcomes.
Her PhD research investigates how organisations can adopt artificial intelligence responsibly in complex and highly regulated environments. Drawing on both academic research and industry practice, she is developing practical approaches to AI governance, risk management and decision-making that support accountable and trustworthy AI deployment.
Tina’s research sits at the intersection of Responsible AI, public sector innovation and digital transformation. She is particularly interested in understanding how organisations balance innovation with governance requirements, and how decision-makers can evaluate AI opportunities while maintaining appropriate levels of oversight, transparency and public trust.
Through collaborations with government agencies, healthcare organisations and industry partners, her work aims to bridge the gap between AI research and implementation, supporting the safe and effective adoption of AI technologies that deliver measurable public value.
