BIO

Yue Yang is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Australian Artificial Intelligence Institute (AAII), University of Technology Sydney (UTS). His research focuses on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computational genomics, with a particular emphasis on developing AI-driven approaches for disease risk prediction and personalised healthcare.

His research explores advanced machine learning techniques, including transfer learning, deep learning, and multimodal data integration, to analyse complex genomic and biomedical datasets. His work has focused on predicting the risk of complex diseases, including ischemic stroke, cardiovascular diseases, and metabolic disorders, using large-scale population datasets.

He is currently involved in an Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage Project investigating transfer learning for genome analysis and personalised recommendation. His broader research interests include integrating genomic, clinical, and environmental information to develop more accurate, interpretable, and personalised AI models for healthcare applications.
