BIO
Dr Yufan Chen is specialising in advanced oxidation processes and iron-mediated heterogeneous Fenton chemistry. She received her PhD from the University of New South Wales, where her thesis was recognised with the Dean’s Award for Outstanding PhD Theses. Her research focuses on elucidating reaction mechanisms, oxidant generation pathways, and catalyst–surface interactions to advance sustainable water and wastewater treatment technologies. Dr Chen has published widely, including multiple first-author papers in Environmental Science & Technology, and serves as an active reviewer for leading journals in the field. She maintains strong international collaborations and continues to develop high-efficiency oxidation strategies and data-driven approaches for environmental water chemistry.
