Yufan Chen

My research focuses on advanced oxidation processes and iron-mediated heterogeneous Fenton chemistry, with an emphasis on developing sustainable, high-efficiency treatment technologies for refractory water pollutants. I investigate oxidant activation mechanisms, catalyst–surface interactions, and reagent utilisation efficiency to inform scalable engineering applications. A key direction of my work is translating mechanistic insights into practical solutions for water utilities and industry partners.
