BIO
Tallat Jabeen is a graduate research student at UTS whose work focuses on advanced applications of artificial intelligence in human health. Her doctoral research involves developing a computational model of the gut–brain axis to understand the relationship between the gut microbiome and the brain. By combining AI techniques, agent-based simulation, and microbiome data analysis, her work aims to provide insights into how changes in the microbiome may contribute to neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and autism.
Her published work covers a wide range of topics, including multi-modal AI for disease risk prediction using Explainable AI (XAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs), as well as secure IoT systems for real-time health monitoring in wireless body area networks. She has published in reputable journals and IEEE conferences and continues to contribute to interdisciplinary research, including AI applications in sustainable transport.
Tallat is passionate about building intelligent systems that are not only technically rigorous but also meaningful in their real-world impact, whether that's protecting patient data, predicting disease risk, modelling the hidden biology that shapes neurological health, or making AI-driven diagnostics truly accessible to the patients who need them most.
