FUNDED RESEARCH
As a mixed methods researcher deeply committed to advancing the pedagogical paradigms that shape teaching and learning, my work encompasses a multi-disciplinary approach, bridging the domains of artificial intelligence, higher education assessment strategies, health communication and literacy, and nursing and midwifery curricula. At the heart of my scholarship is the belief that learning experiences should be equitable, accessible, and optimised for individual learner outcomes.
In the realm of artificial intelligence, my research is focused on how machine learning algorithms and natural language processing can be harnessed to make teaching and learning more personalised and effective. I am particularly interested in developing AI tools that can intelligently adapt course materials to suit the unique learning styles and paces of individual students.
My research in nursing and midwifery education emphasises the evolving roles of healthcare professionals in an increasingly complex medical landscape. I am interested in how curricular changes can better prepare nurses and midwives for modern challenges, including interdisciplinary roles and the integration of technology in healthcare. Understanding and refining these educational frameworks is critical for developing competent, flexible healthcare professionals.
My research interests are interconnected by the underlying theme of improving educational and health outcomes through a blend of technological innovation and rigorous academic inquiry.
