BIO

Dr Ara Asatryan is a lecturer in the Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences. He is subject coordinating and lecturing a number of Mathematics subjects. His research focus is on Photonics. He developed highly accurate and efficient analytical and numerical methods to characterize wave propagation in complex artificial materials.

Dr Ara Asatryan is well recognized Internationally. He is a Senior Member of the Optica Society, (formaly known as Optical Society of America) since 2010. His current h-index is 28, and i10-index is 45 and he has 2100 citations as of 01.07.2023 (Web of Science all databases). He has authored 137 refereed publications (including 4 book chapters, 93 Journal publications, 49 refereed Conference Presentations) and 64 Conference Abstracts.
