TEACHING

Fred is the subject co-coordinator for 91154 Ecology, a second-year undergraduate course that explores the interactions between living organisms and their abiotic environments.

He also coordinates 60106 Research Proposal Writing, a general master's elective designed to equip students with the essential skills needed to craft compelling research proposals and secure funding—a critical component of a scientific career.

Over the past 15 years, Fred has taught a wide range of topics at various universities, including Sorbonne University (France), Oregon State University (USA), and Flinders University (Australia). His teaching experience spans Biodiversity and Conservation, Research Design and Statistics, Ecological Modelling in Palaeontology, Plant and Climate Modelling, and Ecology and Vegetation Modelling.

He continues to lead short courses, workshops, and masterclasses on topics such as Introduction to Statistics and Advanced Techniques, Species Distribution Modelling 101, Introduction to R and R-Studio, Advanced Statistics in R, and Matlab for Ecological Research.
