DrGalaxy Qiu

Galaxy investigates microbial diversity, activity and interactions across natural and engineered environments. His particular interests include saline and extreme-environment microbiology, genome-resolved metagenomics, microbial cultivation, nitrogen cycling, contaminant biodegradation, water and wastewater treatment, pathogen and antimicrobial resistance surveillance, and plant–microbiome interactions. He integrates field sampling, cultivation, multi-omics and experimental validation to move from microbial discovery towards environmental and One Health applications.
