BIO

Professor Héléne de Burgh-Woodman has undertaken a range of projects on consumer communities and marketing theory with a particular interest in inter-disciplinary approaches to the cultural uses of marketplace artefacts within communities. Hélène is also engaged in work on consumer agency and interactions with market forces as a way of understanding issues of community cohesion, formation of ethical positions and social sustainability. Hélène is an Endeavour Research Fellow, a recipient of various grants and awards in excess of $5m and has successfully led a range of strategic, inclusion, social impact and engagement projects. She is a member of peak academic bodies in her field and a long-standing member of institutional statutory boards such as University Research Committees, Teaching and Learning, Social Justice and Inclusion, Academic Boards, Scientific Councils, ERA panels and external review panels. Hélène is the founder of the International Centre for Knowledge Resilience, a joint research centre in collaboration with numerous prestigious European partner institutions.
