• make visible the dynamics of learning
• develop analytics that provide insight into 21stcentury graduate attributes
• scaffold social dialogue and rigorous argumentation with collaborative tools
• conduct reflective, collective deliberation on complex sociotechnical problems at a range of different scales
Simon's books are Visualizing Argumentation, Knowledge Cartography, and Constructing Knowledge Art. He has edited the proceedings of conferences including the International Conference on Learning Analytics & Knowledge, and the the International Conference on the Pragmatic Web, was co-founder and general editor of the Journal of Interactive Media in Education (JIME), and has edited special issues of journals including the British Journal of Educational Technology, International Journal of Human-Computer Studies, Journal of Learning Analytics, and the New Review of Hypermedia & Multimedia.
