IMPACT SUMMARY
Dr Suzy Ladanyi (RN, BN, GradCertHEd, MN (Critical Care), PhD) has made significant contributions to critical care nursing education, research, and professional leadership over more than two decades. At the University of Technology Sydney, she has advanced postgraduate and undergraduate nursing programs through innovative subject design, outcome focused assessment, and high fidelity simulation that enhances student preparedness for complex clinical practice. Her extensive clinical expertise in intensive care, neuro trauma, and surgical high dependency nursing informs her teaching and research, particularly in traumatic brain injury and multiple trauma.
Beyond academia, Dr Ladanyi has shaped the profession nationally through 14 years of service on the Australian College of Critical Care Nurses Board Executive and NSW Branch leadership roles. Her PhD research exploring massage therapy for musculoskeletal conditions as well as the practice characteristics for massage therapists in Australia, contributes to broader public health knowledge. Collectively, her work has strengthened nursing education, clinical practice, and interdisciplinary research in Australia.
