FUNDED RESEARCH

My research focuses on understanding and optimising skill acquisition and performance across sport and physical activity contexts. Key interests include:

  • Motor learning and skill acquisition across the lifespan
  • Ecological dynamics and constraints‑led approaches to learning and performance
  • Technology‑assisted learning, including launch monitors, performance analytics, and digital feedback systems
  • Data science and artificial intelligence applications in sport skill development
  • Design and evaluation of gamified and criterion‑based learning environments
  • Translational research linking laboratory measures, simulated environments, and real‑world performance
  • Sport participation pathways, motivation, and retention—particularly for beginners and under‑represented groups
