IMPACT SUMMARY
My work has received recognition within the academic community and has also been used in policy and practice contexts.
Overall academic impact and visibility. My research impact is reflected in my publication metrics. As at December 2025, my Google Scholar record shows 8,396 citations in total and 4,516 citations since 2020. My h-index is 39 overall and 34 since 2020, and my i10-index is 82 overall and 72 since 2020. I was recognised among the Stanford-listed Top 2% Scientist.
Global reach through international collaboration. My contributions also reflect global collaboration. 83.3% of my publications involve international collaboration, which reflects my ongoing engagement in cross-border research partnerships. My work’s influence is further indicated by a Field-Weighted Citation Impact of 1.86, meaning my research is cited 86% more often than the global average.
Impact through high-citation papers and field shaping reviews. Several of my individual papers are highly cited and have been influential in the field. Examples include my evaluation of sustainable transport research, which was an ESI Highly Cited Paper, and my review on PPP research, which is ranked among the top cited papers in the International Journal of Project Management.
Policy and practice influence in PPP risk allocation. In addition, my research on risk allocation in China’s PPP projects has been cited by over 40 influential policy sources, including the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank, which indicates practical relevance for infrastructure policy and guidance. More broadly, my research contributes practical frameworks and models for risk assessment and management in PPP projects, supporting decision-making in infrastructure development and public administration.
Quality and consistency of publication outlets. My expertise is also reflected in journal and citation performance indicators. 31.5% of my outputs appear in the top 10% of citation percentiles, and 81.3% are published in top-tier Q1 journals. My work crosses project management, infrastructure governance, and public policy, with a sustained focus on PPPs, where bibliometric studies have identified me as one of the more influential and productive authors in the field.
