FUNDED RESEARCH
My path to this work has been wonderfully non-linear. I began my career as a visual arts teacher, then transitioned into professional design and retouching, where I spent years crafting and analysing images while constantly discussing the art and science of picture-making with students, clients, and collaborators. These experiences sparked a deep curiosity about why and how we see, interpret, and create meaning from visuals – leading me to pursue rigorous academic research in this space.
Today, I'm channelling that foundation – combining practical expertise in all things visual into a PhD – focused on visual perception and cognition. I'm passionate about translating complex insights into actionable knowledge that empowers people and systems to harness the full potential of our visual brain. Open to connecting with fellow researchers, educators, designers, innovators, or anyone interested in the intersection of vision science, creativity, and human performance
