FUNDED RESEARCH

The UTS Membrane Biophysics Group specialises in novel membrane-based biosensor technologies. We use membrane sensors to test new drugs that are impervious to antimicrobial resistance, to detect biomarkers for cancer, and inflammatory diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). In addition, we delve into the fundamental biophysics of lipid bilayers and cell membranes.
