BIO

Paulina Larocca is a creativity scholar and practice-led researcher whose work spans transdisciplinary education, ethical storytelling, and creative systems thinking. With a PhD in Transdisciplinary Creativity and Innovation, she teaches across the Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation, the Diploma of Innovation, and the Master of Creative Intelligence and Strategic Innovation at UTS. She also supervises Honours and PhD students exploring creativity, collaboration, and embodied inquiry.

Her current research explores how deferring judgement — as both a creative and ethical act — can transform how we collaborate, learn, and imagine futures. Through projects like Fractals of Nature (a multisensory installation exploring somatic creativity and ethical storytelling), Pollinating Hope (a podcast on resilience, imagination, and systems change), and the Nature Cultural Fellowship (a global, community-based program for ecological storytelling and kinship building), Paulina is building a research program that repositions creative practice as a tool for collective sensemaking and institutional transformation.

Prior to academia, Paulina served as Global Director of Creativity & Innovation at Pernod Ricard Winemakers, where she led the creation of Vinarchy, the company’s internal creative agency and platform. She launched an award-winning internal creativity school that ran for several years and was instrumental in bringing ideation processes in-house — a move that contributed to the company being named one of the AFR’s Top 50 Most Innovative Companies. Today, she runs her own consultancy, Paulina Larocca Creative Catalyst, where she designs bespoke creative leadership training for clients such as Microsoft and supports organisations in cultivating imagination, ethical storytelling, and innovation capability.

Her creative practice is grounded in non-traditional research outputs (NTROs), using multisensory, participatory methods to explore how artistic and experiential inquiry can drive cultural and institutional transformation.
