Teaching Philosophy & Contributions
Filipe adopts a conversative-style, problem-based learning approach that mirrors contemporary engineering practice: short Agile-inspired sprints, industry case studies and iterative peer feedback.  His dual perspective—grounded in industrial practice and scholarly background—enables him to deliver curricula that are both academically rigorous and immediately relevant to employers. By embedding live industry projects and sustainability metrics in assessment tasks, he helps cultivate the next generation of engineers capable of marrying operational excellence with climate-aligned outcomes.
