BIO
Dr Luis Lozano-Paredes is a Lecturer in the Transdisciplinary School at the University of Technology Sydney, researching technology, institutions and governance.
His programme has three connected enquiries: how technologies reshape organisational practice and decision-making; how institutions organise, evaluate and use knowledge; and how qualitative and design research methods can be developed to investigate technological change. His work examines the arrangements through which dispersed expertise becomes valuable, usable and open to correction.
His current concentration is AI in public organisations, universities and other institutional settings, including professional judgment, knowledge evaluation and the use of AI in research. This extends a broader interest in digital platforms, institutional adaptation and collective action. His approach connects institutional analysis with political economy, science and technology studies, and systems thinking.
Luis’s background spans architecture, urban economics and policy work in Argentina’s federal government. His doctoral research at UTS investigated platform drivers and collective self-organisation in Bogotá, Colombia.
